Le tournage d'une pièce avec paroi fine comme le vase ci-dessous (épaisseur environ 1 mm) entraîne des phénomènes de vibration pas toujours faciles à maîtriser.
Turning objects with a very thin wall like the one below (thickness about 1mm) creates vibrations that are not always easy to cope with.

Bol décentré - Off center bowl
Production de ce dimanche, un bol décentré en noyer. Les dimensions hors tout 260x140x55mm.
Made this sunday, an off center, walnut wood bowl. Dimensions 260x140x55mm.
Le décentrage crée des problèmes de vibrations lors du tournage dûs à la force centrifuge. La forme extérieure fait quand à elle office de ventilateur ;-). Voir photo ci-dessous.
An off centre creates vibration during turning because of the inertia, while the external shape acts as a ventilator ;-). See picture below.
